I really should have realized this before, and it’s kind of a little thing, but I just noticed that my name appears in every Dark Horse comic book. In the company colophon featured in each Horsepower letters column, my name is listed alphabetically under the marketing department header.

Frequenters of the internets will have seen that casting for “Captain America: The First Avenger” has been a big news item over the past week or two. The short version is that “The Office’s” John Krasinski (aka Jim Halpert) was initially in the running and an early front-runner for the role. He was then voted the fan-favorite choice by MTV readers, and now it looks like he’s no longer in the game.

For an entire month, this blog was committed to little more than posting pictures of moustaches in order to help raise funds that would go on to aid the fight against cancer. Matthew Lubicky and I, under the auspicious name of “The Venerable Gentlemen…FROM SPACE!,” raised a grand total of $1,127.92 to help benefit men’s cancer research and raise awareness about men’s health.

I pulled out my pens earlier and doodled this Hellboy image, colored it a few ways and thought I’d post the results here. I’m still getting back in the swing of doodling (Please note: This is not art, nor will you hear me calling it that—’cause it isn’t art.) so I stuck with a simple bust-shot and an angle that always comes easily for me when I’m “cartooning.” Anywho, here are the images. I hope you dig them.

As my few regular readers (i.e. my family) may have noticed, I haven’t posted any drawings in a while. Life’s been so busy and overwhelming with the move to Portland, adjusting to a new job and learning a new city that I decided to put down my doodle pad for a bit.

It’s been a wild ride, folks, but it’s come to an end. Thirty days full of growing have come and gone—Movember’s finally complete. As of today, my moustache partner Matthew Lubicky and I have posted over 60 moustache pictures, aired three videos and raised over $1,000 ($1,057.92, to be exact). Not too shabby, if I do say so myself!

Wow, it’s almost over. Movember is terrifyingly close to ending and I don’t think I want to get rid of this delightful moustache. It’s really a fine addition to any male face.
