Are you excited to binge on the nasal voice of a nerdy white guy? Get ready!
This past year, thanks to my good friend and compatriot, the talented and extremely hard-working Josh Wigler (Listen to “First One Out,” you’ll see what I mean.), I got into podcasting. I had a blast and it was a good way to put all my nerdy hot takes to better use than simply spouting them off on Twitter at 12 a.m. Josh and I know each other from way back in our Wizard magazine days, so it was also a pleasure to get to spend so much time with an old friend who lives thousands of miles away!
We recorded eight episodes previewing, recapping, and speculating on Netflix’s “Marvel’s The Defenders.” Even if you didn’t watch the show, I think we give pretty good talk — you’ll almost certainly laugh a few times! Check out the podcasts!
This lead to an opportunity to chat about the new series “Star Trek: Discovery” with PostShowRecaps founder and honcho Rob Cesternino. As a die-hard Trek fan, it was a real thrill to be asked to publicly give my opinion on the newest entry in the franchise. Rob and I had a great chat! Again I say, give it a listen!
Finally, I got to catch up with another old buddy from my Wizard magazine days, TJ Dietsch, on his podcast “Midnight Comics Book Club.” We talked about the paranoia-centric book “Deep Dark Fears,” parenthood, and worrying. Check it out!
If you enjoyed any or all of these, and I hope you did, look for updates on more podcasting in 2018 here or over on my Twitter.
